We do not only move—we remember, we honor, and we become the voice of those who danced before us
Alejandra Jiménez
Mexican Folk Dance
Baile folklórico is a living expression of Mexico’s history, faith, and regional identity. Through vibrant costumes, intricate steps, and music, each dance tells a story that communicates emotions, traditions, and shared values. Iconic dances performed at festivals and cultural events preserve and celebrate Mexican heritage.
Aztec Dance
Aztec dance was performed in ceremonies to energies, Mother Earth, the universe, and the self. Movements reflect the four elements: water, earth, air, and fire. The Aztec drum, or huehuetl, guides dancers like the heartbeat of the Earth, starting with the left foot as a sign of respect and connection to the heart.
“A tour-de-force of creative, technical and logistic imagination: the most daring and original adventure in the performing arts our city has seen in years”
